NIGHTMARE ABBEY #5 IS NOW AVAILABLE

The fifth issue of Nightmare Abbey Magazine from Dead Letter Press is now available for purchase. Edited by Tom English, this one contains eleven short horror stories penned by top notch talent of the genre, including a brand new one by Ramsey Campbell.

There are also three special features in this issue:

John Llewellyn Probert’s Cinema Crypt column gives us an in-depth look at the 1960 horror film The City of the Dead (Horror Hotel in the U.S.).

Part two of Fear In Four Colors: The Hideous History of American Horror Comics by John M. Navroth’s plunges us into pre-Comics Code era horror comics.

My column, Matt Cowan’s Horror Delve, likewise makes its return. This time I’m reviewing two recent books, Ramsey Campbell’s new novel The Lonely Lands and the Paul Finch edited anthology Terror Tales of the Mediterranean. Both books were an absolute pleasure to read, and I enjoyed getting to expound upon why I enjoyed them so much.

Nightmare Abbey 5 is beautiful to look at as usual with lots of movie stills, eerie images and magnificent Allen Koszowski artwork. Below is a sneak peek at the issue to wet your appetite.

A very impressive Table of Contents
A Brand New Ramsey Campbell Story. I read this story immediately upon receiving the issue and it’s brilliant!
