REVISED AND EXPANDED “HERE HE COMES A WANDERING” TO BE PUBLISHED

Back in 2009, my short story “Here He Comes A Wandering” won The Pod of Horror Christmas Horror Story Competition and was read by the show’s fantastic host Mark Justice near the end of episode #58. I recently sent it to the editors at Grinning Skull Press for consideration for the third and final iteration of their DEATHLEHEM series of holiday-themed horror anthologies, DEATHLEHEM REVISITED. The proceeds go to The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. They liked the story but asked for me to expand it, specifically with more back story. I did so while rewording it to reflect my present writing style which has changed quite a bit since 2009. I ended up also changing the ending and folding it into my Talbot Forest Mythos, which includes “The Collective of Blaque Reach” (published by Dead Letter Press and later read on The Tales To Terrify podcast episode #90), “The Shadow Man of Moon Spine Bridge” (published in the anthology INDIANA HORROR 2012 and available for free here: https://horrordelve.com/2014/10/31/the-shadow-man-of-moon-spine-bridge-by-matt-cowan/ ) and several other stories I’ve written that will hopefully see print in the future.
