Mark Justice is a man of many talents. He’s a popular morning radio personality by day, a columnist, podcaster, and horror writer by night. He has a long list of publication credits which includes the DEAD EARTH series cowritten with David T. Wilbanks, his weird west tale, THE DEAD SHERIFF (https://horrordelve.com/2014/04/27/thedeadsheriffreview/), to name a few. He’s the host and producer of the ground breaking podcast, Pod of Horror. He also happens to be one of the nicest people I know… and he’s a big comic book fan which makes his answer to our question very fitting. So….
Mark Justice, What was your favorite Halloween Costume?
My favorite Halloween costume was Batman, when I was probably seven or eight. That sucker included a utility belt and Batarang. I spent that Trick or Treat stopping imaginary crime and nabbing Tootsie Rolls. A few years later, I really got into dressing as a vampire. I wore out several pairs of plastic fangs.

Wow, in the back of my dusty memory, I think I had that utility belt!
But… how could both of you be Batman?
Um, uh, hmm. You got me there.
Also, when I was maybe 8 or so, there were Shogun Warrior utility belts, with plastic axes and swords. I never had one but I recall being with my Dad at Korvette’s, now long defunct, and I really wanted one but didn’t get it.
I remember reading some of the Shogun Warrior comic books and seeing some of the commercials for the figures. I remember wanting some of them but never got any.
I had one of the small metal ones, about 6 inches, with firing fists, and a large plastic Godzilla Shogun Warrior. But I never had any of the really cool large ones.
